Scholarships with October Deadlines

If you’re looking for scholarships, then you’ve come to the right place! We have now compiled the scholarships for October, and we wanted to pass them onto you.

Internal Stony Brook Scholarships

  1. Alumni Association Past Presidents Scholarship. Award: TBA. Deadline: October 1st. If you would like to apply for this scholarship opportunity, you must meet the following eligibility requirements: You must be a Stony Brook University student enrolled full-time as a Sophomore, Junior or Senior in a degree granting acaddemic program, you must demonstrate high academic achievement by maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA, you must demonstrate financial need as determined by a current FAFSA application, and you must demonstrate clear leadership ability through participation in on-campus or off-campus activities.   2. The Center for Korean Studies Jeen Hong Kim Scholarship for Academic Achievement and Leadership. Award: $1,000. Deadline: October 14th. This scholarship is awarded to two Stony Brook University students who are Korean Studies minors who have taken two or more courses in Korean Studies with at least a 3.0 GPA. External Scholarships

  1. Ehline American Military Vets Scholarship Fund. Award: $500. Deadline: October 1st. To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must have served in the U.S. Armed Forces (i.e., Marines, Air Force, Army, Navy, Coast Guard, etc.) and show proof of honorable discharge, be enrolled in an accredited Law Office Study Program or Law School, such as a judge’s chambers, law school, or other university. In addition, the applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA or proof of continuous law office study up until the time of the receipt of the award. To enter, the applicant must submit an essay.   2. Venngage Student Startup Scholarship. Award: $1,000-$5,000. Deadline: October 1st. If you would like to apply for The Venngage Student Startup Scholarship, you will need to meet the following requirements. You need to be a full-time, part-time, or recently graduated (within 1 year) student attending a post-secondary institution.   3. Belluck & Fox, LLP. Award: $500-$2,500. Deadline: October 10th. The applicant must supply an essay, which can be on a variety of mesothelioma topics. There is not much  more information about this scholarship, but if you email scholarship@mesotheliomahelp.org, you can get more information about the scholarship contest.   4. The National Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship. Award: $2,000/year-$5,000/year. Deadline: October 14th. For this scholarship opportunity, the student must be a graduate student in dental, medical, nursing, pharmacy, policy or public health.   5. Toptal STEM Scholarships for Women. Award: $5,000. Deadline: October 15th. If you would like to apply for this scholarship opportunity, the applicant must a woman, ages 13 years or older, who is from any country and who is at any stage in their education. In addition, the applicant must make a meaningful contribution to Open Source, publish a post on their personal blog telling the world about it, and complete the application.   6. Lightning55 General Scholarship for Higher Learning. Award: $1,250. Deadline: October 15th. This scholarship is offered to all students enrolled in a two-year, four-year, or graduate level college or university. Students of all majors are encouraged to apply as long as they are 16 years of age or older. In addition, the applicant must answer four, open-ended, and thought-provoking questions.   7. Interior-Deluxe Scholarship Program. Award: $1,500. Deadline: October 15th. To be eligible for this scholarship opportunity, the student must enrolled in a two-year, four-year, or graduate program. In addition, the scholarship is open to students of all majors in all countries, who are 16 years of age or older. Lastly, the applicant must submit an essay with at least 900 words.   8. The Clements Law Biannual College Scholarship Essay Contest. Award: $500. Deadline: October 28th. For this scholarship opportunity, the applicant must write a 500 word essay regarding driving habits and laws. In addition, the scholarship is open to those planning on attending college or graduate school at an accredited United States college or university during the Fall 2016 or Winter 2017 semesters. In addition, this scholarship is open to non-degree and undergraduate levels in any field of study. Lastly, you must provide a 500 word essay about music and how you’ve shared it with other. This scholarship is open to all U.S. citizens or permanent legal resident of the U.S who is 18 years or older, has at least a 3.0 GPA in any field of study, and is attending or planning on attending a community college, college, or university in the Spring semester of 2017.   11. Safe Lagoon’s Children’s Advocate Scholarship. Award: $1,000. Deadline: October 31st. To be eligible for this scholarship opportunity, applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited North American college or university, as well as submit a 500 word essay regarding the online dangers for children.   12. Activia Training U.S. Scholarship. Award: $250-$500. Deadline: October 31st. For this scholarship opportunity, the applicant must be attending, or have secured a place at, a college, university, high school or trade school in the United States, and be at least 16 years old. If you would like to apply for this scholarship opportunity, you must meet the following requirements: You must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise legally residing in one of the 50 United States or D.C., you must be at least 17 years of age, you must be currently registered for a full-time undergrad program at an accredited university in the U.S., or currently accepted to an accredited university for a full-time undergrad program for the Winter/Spring 2017 semester, you must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and you must submit a 500 word essay on your best money-saving tips for college. In addition, you must have the intention to enter the game industry as a developer of interactive entertainment with a major in any field. Lastly, you must have at least a 3.3 GPA.
