Scholarships with Deadlines in July

It’s time for our July 2016 installment of scholarships for the 2016-2017 school year! We’re here to provide you with some scholarships that we’re hoping you will take advantage of so that you might be able to lessen your student debt.

We know it’s the Summer, and getting on your laptop to apply for scholarships is probably one of the last things you want to do, especially when it’s so nice outside. But, trust us when we say that taking some time out of your day to apply for the chance to win these scholarships is totally worth it. Thus, we present to you, 23 scholarships with deadlines in July.

  1. Frank J. Richter Scholarship. Award: $1,000. Deadline: July 1st. To be eligible for consideration for this scholarship opportunity, the applicant must be enrolled as a full-time undergrad or grad student in an accredited college or university, have at least a 2.75 GPA, and have at least Sophomore level standing. In addition, for this scholarship, preference will be given to those applicants who are enrolled in the transportation field, but all applicants will be considered.   2. Lending Tree Scholarship. Award: $2,500. Deadline: July 15th. To be eligible for this scholarship opportunity, you must be a U.S. citizen, a high school senior, and you must have at least a 3.5 GPA. Along with these requirements, you must submit a 30 second video explaining how you plan on paying for college. That’s all there is to it!   3. Toptal STEM Scholarships for Women. Award: $5,000. Deadline: July 15th. For this scholarship opportunity, the applicant must be a woman who is 13 years of age or older. It is an international contest open to any level of education. In addition, the applicant must “make a meaningful contribution to open source”, publish a post on your personal blog telling the world about it, and complete their application.   4. Women in Defense Scholarship. Award: Varies. Deadline: July 15th. To be eligible for this scholarship opportunity, the applicant must be currently enrolled at an accredited university or college, either part-time or full-time, undergrad with junior level standing or grad level, demonstrate interest in pursuing a career related to national security or defense, demonstrate financial need, have at least a 3.25 GPA, be a woman, a citizen of the U.S.A. and be a member of Women in Defense.   5. Edusson Bug & Ideas Hunting Contest. Award: $500-$2,500. Deadline: None (Year-round contest). For this opportunity, you must be a student enrolled in a degree at any university, and you must be either an undergrad or a grad student.   6. Gagne, Scherer & Associates, LLC Scholarship. Award: $1,200. Deadline: July 17th. If you are currently enrolled or planing to enroll in a college or university for 2016, are 18 years of age or older, and can submit a 500-1000 word essay, then this is the scholarship for you! Your essay must answer their topic, but, regardless, you should take a look and try to apply for this great opportunity.   7. Quit Smoking Community Scholarship. Award: $500-$1,500. Deadline: July 21st. For this scholarship opportunity, you can participate if you are 18 years or older, a student enrolled full-time in a U.S. institution for a graduate or undergraduate program, a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, currently living in the United States.   8. Schneider & Palcsik Scholarship. Award: $1,000. Deadline: July 22nd. In order to be considered for this scholarship opportunity, the applicant is required to be a citizen of the United States or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S., must have already been accepted to an accredited institution of higher education and be planning to attend your first year of law in the Fall of 2016, and the applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA. For this scholarship opportunity, the applicant must be a high school senior or a college student and must be a U.S. citizen living in the U.S. and attending school in the U.S. In addition, you need to submit an essay related to one of Hasbrook & Hasbrook’s nine practice areas: personal injury, auto accidents, medical malpractice, dangerous drugs and medical devices, employment law, nursing home abuse, insurance law, car dealership fraud, and product liability.   12. Hawkins Spizman Kilgo, LLC Childhood Cancer Awareness Scholarship. Award: $1,000. Deadline: July 31st. If you are currently enrolled or have been accepted to an accredited college or university (undergrad or grad), are a survivor of childhood cancer, yourself, or a loved one has been directly affected by childhood cancer, have at least a 2.8 GPA, and can submit an official copy of your transcript as well as a written essay, then this is the scholarship opportunity for you!   13. The Lincoln Forum Scholarship Essay Contest. Award: $1,500. Deadline: July 31st. If you have a strong interest in Abraham Lincoln, then we think this is the scholarship for you! To be eligible for this contest, you must be a full-time undergrad student in an American college or university. But, you do not have to be from the United States.   14. UNIGO Flavor of the Month Scholarship. Award: $1,500. Deadline: July 31st. For this scholarship opportunity, you need to be at least 13 years of age or older, a legal resident of the fifty Unites States or the District of Columbia, and be currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education.   15. Top Medical Assistant Program Scholarship. Award: $500. Deadline: July 31st. In order to be eligible for this scholarship opportunity, the applicant must be a high school or college student, post a photo on Instagram and tag Veterans Call (@veteranscall) and include the hashtag #whataveteranlookslike, be a current follower of Veterans Call at the end of the entry period, agree that the photo can be posted on the Veterans Call Instagram and Facebook accounts and used for other promotional purposes, be a legal resident of the U.S. or an international student with a valid visa, a Veteran or a member of a military family and at least 18 years old.
